Pro has an input directly on the unit that can be used for a wideband, ect and it allows you to data log with just the unit plugged in so no need to have a whole laptop with you when you are logging.

The HP Tuners thread explains it all and for an extra $150 it is well worth it so you don't have to locate an input for your wideband by altering your wire harness.

As stated, the HPtuners link is the best explanation. They will both scan and tune the same, but Pro gives you the ability to run inputs into the interface (like a wideband) and black box datalog without your computer if need be.
