Thanks you the info. Confirming, merely push the ignition button without placing your foot on the brake (C6A6) and this will place the system in the "On" condition. Will the car stay in the "On" position until you push the ignition button to "Off"? Also, do the doors being open have any affect on the state of the ignition?
That's right about the automatic cars. The ignition will stay "ON" until you press the "STOP" side of the switch. I always turn off all accessories to prevent draining the battery prematurely. The door being open has nothing to do with the ignition, but HPT says to close both doors when downloading a file either to or from the car. Don't let all the warnings that show up on the DIC during a download/upload bother you. Hope this helps!

Either way works. You have to wait about 5-6 seconds before the PCM is ready to accept a reflash. Make sure if the scan software application is open you have hit the "disconnect" icon or it won't flash.
