Default Quick question

I have a Predator U7194. It has a custom CMS tune on it labled as LES by the tuner. My car has a CAM so the regular Predator tune would not work.

My question is; how do I decouple the Predator from my car without screwing up the tune that is on it? I may sell the car so I want to put the Predator back to clear so it can be used on another vehicle.

Are you asking how to keep the custom tune on the car and unlock the Predator?
If so, thats not possible, restoring the stock tune to the car is the only way to unlock the Predator so it can be sold. The only real option I see is to sell the Predator with the car otherwise it will not run.

From what i have heard you have to put the stock tune back into your car for the other user to use it or they can send it back to Diablo and get it reflashed for a fee.

My question relates to the either selling my car as is or pulling the CAM.

I contacted you guys after I bought the Predator and you referred me to a CMS tuner because I could not use the Predator on my CAM'ed car. I had the car retuned and they stored the tune on the Predator. The car previously had a EFI live tune.

I never had a stock tune on the Predator so as far as I know, the CMS tune done by "Delk Performance" should be the stock tune? Am I wrong?

What I want to do is clear the Predator have the CAM removed and program the car with a new code. My way of seeing it is that if I have the CAM removed, the current tune that the Predator thinks is original will render it useless.

in order to import a custom tune to the predator to install to your car, the predator HAS to save a backup copy of the stock original tune first... otherwise, it will not let you do that...

so, if you/they imported a custom tune to the predator and installed said custom tune to the car, then yes - the stock original backup tune is saved on the predator...

so, now your options are:

#1 - leave the car as is and sell the predator along with it...

#2 - remove the cam from the car and put the original stock cam back in it, and then "restore original backup" from the predator to the car in order to unlock/reset the predator from the car, then sell 'em both separately...

It is all a moot point. I have a pending purchase, and the Predator goes with the car!
