Just bought a 2005 Corvette with 25xxx miles. Less than 30 miles after I purchased it the check engine light came on. At Hwy speeds it has a hard shift and these codes
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request) Malfunction
and
P0894 Transmission Component Slipping
Took it the dealer for diagnosis. I was told I need a new Transmission. Hesitant....I agreed and had them put in a new tranny. Just got it out of the shop YESTERDAY. By this morning the check engine light was on AGAIN and the harsh shift is back. Now I'm out $2700.00 and still have the same problem.....What would you do?
After further testing I am now being told it is a rear end problem......
Are we searching for answers here? *FRUSTRATED*
If it were me, and the shop in question did not make it right, I would either get a lawyer or file a claim in court. You should not have to pay for guesses. Good luck .
