Default Tach signal for the dyno?

I recently had some boltons installed and dyno tuned at ECS and am looking to take my 08 C6 back to a local dynojet, because that's where I got my baseline this past March. I'm looking to see what my gains were using the same dyno under similar weather conditions. Problem is, the first time around, the dyno opereator was unable to get a good tach signal, so I was stuck with only a rwhp # (385 with a K&N FIPK).

Where's the best place to get a reliable tach signal for the purposes of the dyno on a C6? TIA.

Its more than likely the clamp he was using than anything with the car. They can be funky.

Obviously any of the plug wires, try moving the clamp around until it picks up, other option is one of the injector wires.

dynojet also make a small inductive pick up that you can mount to the signal wire on the coil.

Thanks for that tip. I'll ask about it before I make my appointment.
