I had the traction control off and the rear end squatted and slid left, then right. It was evident the engine was making a ton of torque...I don't recall doing that before. The road was dry and the surface was excellent. This was no fluke...it broke traction at 60MPH or so on a good clean surface. I was data logging this run, but some knucklehead had to get in my way.
The car is driving very strong!
Guys,

I did my first logging with the predator tuner (run above). one thing I noticed was almost 6* of timing retard at 4800 RPMs. This is on the Diablo tune (93 octane?)
Is this normal? It was warm 84-85* and muggy and I had driven the car for over an hour.

Factory tune starts pulling timing at 86* IAT temps. If it was 84-85* and you don't have a Halltech or similar intake, you likely had IATs well over 100* and equate to 6* of timing pulled.

Here is a screenshot of the factory timing map for IAT. I don't know if the Diablo adjusts these tables or not.

That would explain the knock retard. Throughout the run, the minimum temp was 87.8 and went up to 91.4. At the time of the retard, the temp was at 89.6. The retard was only momenteraly though...it lasted for about 200RPMs and then went to zero. The run had other smaller spikes of less than a degree.

Thanks for the info, Justin.

What Mike said above is spot on. After removing the Diablosport tune and going back to the stock tune I remembered how many more dead spots there are from 1000rpm to 2500rpm. Also I noticed that extra kick up in the higher rpms was gone.

Plus it is great to have if you get a check engine light. Read it, it tells you what the code means and you can clear it.
is it sold already id buy it...
