Maxiumum agreeable boost with a blown LS2
Hi guys,
i have a blown LS2 Vortech V7, callies crank kit, forged pistons,...
Till now i had about 21 psi without problems.
Now i want to change to the new procharger F1X but i feel angry that the boost (about 26 psi) is too much for this motor block?
What is the maxiumum agreeable boost with a blown LS2?
I heared that one guy cracked the cylinder sleeve with this blower.
What do you think?
Thank you

Will work for HPDE time.
Boost is such a one-dimensional value.
Your motor should be fine to 12-1500 rwhp or so with forged guts, assuming all is balanced and matched. Are you using 1/2" studs, thick-deck heads and o-rings? Lifting the heads is what will kill you.

Boost is a measure of restriction, not a direct connection to power output/gains. Generally speaking, upping the boost will net more power, but after a certain point the gains are not the same per pound of boost.
