I have an 06 , 6speed, LS2. It has a callaway honker, FAST 102, LS7 exhaust and Texas speed cam. .595/.598 232/234 @ .050 duration on a 112 LSA. The car runs fine but only put down 395RWHP on a dyno run last Wednesday. The car keeps pulling out timing. about 5-7 degrees at 5000 rpm. It is only at 17 degrees total timing. It is as though the car senses a knock and keeps pulling it out. As i said, the car runs good but not nearly as hard as it should for the parts it has. Does anyone have any ideas. I did read that the NGK TR55 plug isnt the best choice so I changed to TR6 yesterday....
Any ideas.. I spent $1,000's on this and want everything to be right.

The TR55 are fine unless you are running higher compression or Nitrous. My guess is you car was getting heat soaked on the dyno. If you had a scan or tune file I could tell you one way or another.
It sounds like the guy tuning your car wasn't too experienced.
Don't believe cats will cause timing to be pulled out and clogged cats don't cause knock. The car appears to be running lean. What does your air/fuel ratio look like through the dyno pull? Did your tuner give you the data or at least a graph? My guess is the tuner isn't very competent. Your setup should be very safe with AFR in the 12.75 range. Did the tuner work with your PE at all?
we run that cam ALOT. you can get 26-29* of timing with it with a CAi and headers, so minus off a couple for not having LT headers and you should still be able to get 24-25* SOOOO i would say you could have a plugged cat, yes that will cause knock and pull timing i have seen that, but its not the most likely. are all your grounds good? if one ground is loose or anything it will cause this believe it or not i have seen it more than once on vette's. Can you hear the knock? or is the computer just pulling the timing? you should be over 400 wheel on that car with a stick
