I hooked up my new intune to my pc for an update as requested in the instructions. It seems the device is up to date, but then there was a pop up asking for me to register my device. The registration called for completing a registration code to register the device. The problem is the registration requires that you identify the car the programmer will be used with and it only goes up to 2012. I have a 2013 C6. They did email me the regisration code, but for whatever reason the registration form will not allow me to enter the data.
When I connect the intune to my car and I select the tune vehicle icon, it says my PCM may need to be backed up. When I check ok it takes several minutes with the device showing no progress. A couple times it seemed like it comleted the backup and the install tune icon comes back up. When I select it, the next screen is blank, it does not let me back out. All I can do ayt his point is unplug the device and try again. That is as far as I've gotten so far.
This is with my car in the accessory mode. I have tried stating with the car turned off and then switching to accesory mode, accessory mode from the get go and car in run(but not running). Pretty much the same result each time. I had a predator before with my 2008 and hoped the intine would be easier to use and more reliable. Has anyone else had these problems? Does the device need to be registered before it will work? This has been very frustrating.
I never did the registration /code thing . When connected it reads the car data you add a few details ... selections , I selected the 91 octane and loaded that tune . I haven't loaded my stock saved tune to a PC yet , others say an update deletes that . Follow the quick start fold out .

It doesn't even prompt me to pick a tune. It asks if I want to do a backup, won't take no for an answer. It never gets to the point where it asks which tune i want to install.
I wonder if the back up is saving the stock tune . before loading the selected one . You havent got it to read the car data yet ?
A few times it has read the data then takes me to a blank screen. Other times it says it is an unrecognized ECM. Did you need to select any settings before you loaded your tune or did you go straight to a tune?

Yes, register and update before installing any tunes. After completing the registration and updates on your pc, connect the Intune to the car and it will save the original tune and become married (licensed) with the VIN # of your car. Then you select a tune to download. After the new tune is downloaded, it will also save the new tune as the Last Tune Written (LTW). Make sure you save a copy of the original tune file to your pc as backup.

I had a similar issue with my TCM, guessing they had not seen my version of controller before. I sent my xml file as Mike ask and it was included in an update a few weeks later.
I’m also using a Diablosport product the Trinity which I think uses similar software and steps in backing up/programming to the Intune.
I’m still awaiting a solution for the custom TCM file I purchased from ECS almost a month ago.
Both the 1st and 2nd version of the file which loaded to the Trinity OK resulted in “Problem With Custom Tune 2XXXXXX Wrong Won’t Be Used” being displayed on the Trinity when attempting to transfer to the Corvette.
It’s been 2 weeks since the last version of the file failed to transfer and was returned to ECS with a copy of the “Tool Information Clip Board File” and a complete listing of the procedure I used to load it.
I guess when one is a Beta tester patience is a virtue.

sounds like your TCM calibration was not supported.
What revision is the tool on?
Can you email a copy of the TCM backup to support@diablosport.com please?

Mike,
I just sent you an email at support@diablosport.com with the tool revision information you requested together with a copy and paste of the “Tool Information Clip Board File”.
The Trinity T1000 is up to date and is currently loaded with
Part gm_can_gas
Version v.1r09g
using Diablosport Downloader 2.2.2.6
I’ve attached the Custom Tune files for PCM and TCM from ECS together with the original GM backup files for PCM and TCM.
Sorry for the delay.
I'm out of the office until the 2nd, and even if I were there, most of our engineering staff and our GM tuner are on vacation as well. We're not ignoring you, it will be addressed as soon as we have the opportunity to do so.

Mike you guys have his files already, we have been working on this for a bit now.
I got my INTUNE yesterday. It says I'm not signed in as administrator and won't update. says OR install disc? I have no dsc. It did say also no update needed YET. I'll say getting the CODE to register was not easy. The Diablo register screen covered my e/mail screen.

You only need the driver for live data streaming.
Sounds like the tool is fully updated, have you tuned the car yet?
Thanks for the quick reply. I bought DiabloSport over other tunes because of your replies. No I haven't tuned the car yet. News Year Day,naps, football and bad weather. LOL. Hopefuly tomorrow. I'm hoping it helps the auto trans shifting. I may be in touch about trans 'tuning' but first is the canned tunes which may be all it needs.
I have heard a LOT of bad from a local tuner using the INTUNE product. I would suggest you return it and purchase HP Tuners or EFI live. I would also suggest a tune from a reputable tuner.
On OTHER car and truck forumns Diablo is highly thought of. I personally did not want to use a person to 'tune' my car. Its stock and I don't believe that is needed. Plus finding and getting to one was turning into a pain in the butt. I tried. I tried to contact one on this site several times over 6 months or so. Never got a reply. I got a tuner box in 24 hours and reply to a qustion i'n less then 4 hours! Now modified is a different deal in my book. I also want to be able to easily remove it. Next step for me is to download the 91 octane tune and see what it does. Will let you know my thoughts after that stage. Tomorrow sometime probably.
