Two weeks a go I had a tensioner pulley fail on the flip drive alternator belt. It was at night, and I barely made it home on the battery. I charged the battery overnight, installed a new tensioner and belt. The car now runs fine, battery shows 13.9 volts, however, two issues have come up:
1, I get a Service Tire Monitor message in the DIC, and the LR reads "XX" in the DIC. Worked fine before the dead battery.
2. I can no longer put the car in the Competition Mode. It will either Traction-On, or Traction-Off.
My question is.......... are the two issues related? And will a re-calibration of the TP System restore it back to as before?
I assume if I take the car to the Stealership, they will want to install new TP sensors in each wheel, and probably a new monitor as well. I really can't see how this all began with a simple battery drain, or could this simply be a coincidence?
I'm not a mechanic but if I had your concern the first thing I would do is reboot the brain by disconnecting the battery for about 20 seconds and see what happens. See I told you I'm not a mechanic.
