Default A6 Shift Points

I recently had my car tuned and I am finding that a lot more adjustment to my 6l80e is desired. Using EFI Live I am getting close on my normal driving upshifts and converter lockup. I need more knowledge on my downshifts and converter unlocking to make the car more predictable. I want to limit my downshifts to a gear or two and use my converter to accelerate unless I go WOT.

Any shift point information you are willing to share would be appreciated. I would be interested in any A6 tuning information or tips, I have a lot to learn.

I have an 07 h/c/i LS2, 2.56 gearing and a 3600 FTI triple disk. BTW with the triple disk I would like to know more about how others use their lockup. Thanks,

No specific info on the A6, but I find myself constantly tailoring shifts and lockup on my stalled A4 Camaro.

When setting any of that stuff, efilive should give you the rpms of each gear for a given mph which should help you get things close to where you want.

My suggestion is using that, try to think of mph as an arbitrary number and rely more on tps and rpm to better visualize how the trans will behave when you're driving.
