Code P0689??
Have noticed nothing wrong with he car......Checked codes just to see if any had hit over the year. P0689 showed up and I suspect the fact I used a float charger over the winter. Does anyone agree??
Car is a 2005 Base with ARH 3" X-pipe back to Corsa Sports., Supercharged (Edlebrock E-Force.....Dyno at 680 at wheels.).

On an 05, P0689 will set if the key is in run and the battery voltage is low so no...it's not because of your float charger unless the battery is faulty and the float charger cannot keep it charged such that when the key is in Run or On the system voltage is below 10V.
What it may indicate is your battery is weak.
Have it tested and replace as necessary.
