Basic Question on Tuning / Software/USB
I have a stock C5 and ZR-1 that has alot of mods/tuning. For the time being, I think I am going leave the C6 stock.
In the past, I have had the windows valet. Also, been looking at Dashlogic, http://www.palmerperformance.com/products/dashlogic/
and also the module that makes valentine 1 show up in DIC. My C6 does not have HUD.
Also, looking at this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBDLink-MX-FREE-2-DAY-PRIORITY-SHIPPING-Bluetooth-OBD2-ii-module-by-ScanTool-/171202542101?hash=item27dc777a15&item=171202542101&vxp=mtr
Are these tools really helpful or more just for looks if I'm going keep it stock.
There is a slight appeal since I don't have HUD and my C5 does so I kinda of got used to it. I know I can put a stock one in for about $600 but not going to at this time.
Thanks for any help on tools, software etc. All of it is not very expensive and might be helpful to keep my car in tune.
How do you use the OBDII port if you have multiple pieces of equipment, splitter?
I own a laptop, android Samsung S4 and Ipad I.

but not with the actual data numbers---So to me these are all an overkill and useless as a tuning tool as a code will pop up on it's own if something is a miss
If you really want superior software you need something that has "2 way communication" the ability to read data and the ability to correct parameters to fix issues
This is only available by getting HP Tuners or EFILIVE software-----Then you can read the data and make changes to try and correct issues---You can buy either of these for about $800 for one vehicle ---There is a learning curve in what to do and how to correct issues especially after mods with these softwares---but at least you can do some research and have the ability to correct them with advice
