Hard Start Help
I have a 2007 base model with the auto, and I had the trans rebuilt recently, i got kevlar clutches and i have a 3200/3400 stall converter, longtubes, no cats and a tune on it. the car has 102k miles, and the problem i'm having now is that when i try to start it, the car will crank for 6-10 seconds then it will start up like it usually does. i was thinking the fuel pressure regulator, but there's no CEL's and i took it to my performance shop and they're thrown for a loop as well. I'd prefer to avoid the dealer as it's about $120 an hour, and if it's any sort of fuel issue that i have to get to the tank, it'll be a hefty repair.
Any help or advice on this would be really helpful guys thanks!

Do you have a cam ??
Please list all your mods--
Sounds like the hard start began after the trans rebuild and the 3400 stall---Is that correct
? There should be no reason that after a trans and converter change you would begin to experience a hard start----
More info would help to diagnose----I immediately would suspect a clogged fuel filter
---With a stall converter there is less load on the engine when started but not usually enough to alter the starting----May be a coincidence --How long was the battery dis connected ? If too long the computer will revert back to a failsafe start up fueling---
I would drive it foe awhile with multiple starts and see if it finally learns out--If not then follow up with your mods and if there has been any tuning
