Default dreaded p0300 code

got an '11 Z06 with CAI, Magnaflow exhaust and an Intune canned tune. Been running great for 3+ years. Changed the oil 2 weeks ago and when i started it up I got the P0300 code. It went away after 3 engine starts. But a couple days later it came back. Now 5-6 engine starts its still there. My question is whats a good way to troubleshoot without having to buy an expensive scan tool. I have the Diablo Intune and also an OBD dongle. I downloaded a couple apps for my Adroid tablet. Torquelite and I've been using OBDLink to monitor engine stuff. Whats a good app to analyze whats setting the code?

Same thing happened with my 05'. Check the spark plug wires. Make sure there all clicked on the coils and plugs. One of my spark plug wire felt a little loose on the coil. I pushed it back on and the code has not come back on. Good luck.

plugs, plug wires, coils...

make sure no cracked plugs.. and no loose plugs..

make sure wires are all fully snapped on to the plugs/coils..

clean your MAF sensor..

I've only got 5000 miles on the car. Seems unlikely to be plugs. Besides wouldn't there be a code that pinpoints the offending cylinder? I'll check everything out. Just seems strange this came on right after changing the oil. I cleaned the MAF two years ago when I took out the K&N air filter which is oiled. I switched to a non-oiled AirRaid. I remember taking readings before and after. The gms/sec at idle dropped from 11 to 9.

I was using a set of Taylor 10.5mm plug wires. So I figured I would go back to the stock set. The Taylors are very difficult to seat on the plugs. I think two were not fully seated. But I continued replacing them with the stock set. Also figured I'd check the plugs. WTF! They were all gapped from the factory at .035. Supposed to be .040 so I did that. Started engine and no code. Drove it 3 different times today still no code. I'll wait a week or two and go back to the Taylors and see what happens,
