Would a tune take the place of what a throttle controller (like Sprint or Vitesse) does (remapping throttle curve)? So would there be any reason to leave a throttle controller installed if I got a tune to accommodate a set of LT headers? TIA
Yes a tune can do what a Vitesse does but......you will be stuck with just one setting, and it will be the setting that the tuner likes and might not be what you like , why would you want to loose the ablity to adjust your settings ?
IMHO a street tune with the tuner in the car is the way to go. For the tranny part of it my tuner set the d position for dinner with the gf and the s position for me. The other plus of course is getting engine tune perfect also.

It's my opinion, that you should keep your vitesse controller installed.
Make the tuner aware that you have it. My reason is, one thing the controller does is at high sport setting does increase the air flow over stock, so a tune would help a lot
first do you guys even have one? second did you do any testing?
Depends on your cold air system. Most aren't sufficient so your right it starves for air.
My source is I talked to the owner of Vittesse He explained a lot to me.
also talked with westcoast DM of Granatelli He knew all about the Controller
He told me with most cold air systems because the blade opens so fast that the throttle body is starving for air.
So Hear say? I don't know they both did do some testing, basically told me very similar info, and thats their bread ad butter. So if their wrong I'm wrong!

the controller opens the throttle blade so fast, the engine sucks the CAI into a vacuum.
