C6 Check Engine Light Code
Can someone tell me what is causing the Check Engine Light on my 2006 Base C6 with the Scan Code Description (Forgot Number) Reads :
Catalyst Inefficiency Bank 2
Light goes out after not driven for a few days but come back when driven. Thanks

It doesn't think the catalytic converters are doing their job.
Is the car totally stock? This isn't uncommon with high flow cats. Most tuners just turn these codes off.

[B]Thank for your input. Yes The '06 is stock LS2 6.0 L.
Have had the Check Engine Light deleted but after driving it reappears.
Not concerned but it is irritating 😠

The car has an own diagnostic System, the cat-test is running in a typical time-period, not the whole time.
One of your catalytic converters is fragile.
How much mileage do you have?
Corvettes catalytic converters are not so durable. Could happen!

That's probably it.
Mileage is 55,000 miles 🙄

Either the cat has failed, or the sensors that check the cat have failed. A quick scan to watch the o2 sensor voltage will show if the sensors are working. If they are not, the sensor should be replaced, if they are working, then cat should be replaced.
