Just a quickie check- What v. firmware is installed? Should be at least v2.02. There might be later vs on their ws, but 2.02 works. Some older versions had problems. And, the small switch moved to one of the 3 pages and out of config mode?
This is probably not your problem, but the easy stuff out of the way.

I was able to find a link on the forum. Upgraded firmware still no go. Car will not start with device plugged in. Argh. I am going to send it back and maybe try another one?

My car started with the earlier firmware. The latest v2.02 corrected the miscommunication with the DIC after 45 minutes of driving. Sounds like a defected unit, I would return it for another one. Yeah, a pain in the azz to return, but I like having the option to monitor selected parameters. It's a neat little device.

That is bizarre. Yeah def return it, sounds like it is defective assuming you don't have any weird wiring issues on your car

I am second owner 3200 miles when I got it a month ago. Blue driver obd2 scan tool works just fine. I might try device in friends z06 to see but I do not imagine it is my car but you never know.

Yeah something is wrong with the car then. First thing I'd check the pins on the OBD port and make sure all the wires are in the right place. Have a feeling something is swapped or in the wrong place.

My blue driver obd2 scanner works just fine. Dashlogic not so much. I have not had the time to try dashlogic in a friends car yet.

Sounds like a different problem on yours. Try on someone else’s car first if you can..

Just a thought - I recently had another older vehicle of mine not readable with my OBD2 scanner. Lightly sprayed the connector with contact cleaner (Deoxit) and blew it out with an air nozzle and it read. Just needed cleaned out, probably from never being used. Maybe yours is not be making full contact and the vehicle system suspects foul play or not fully handshaking preventing the start?
