I wanted to tune my C6 with the ITune after installing headers and exhaust. Is there a way to decide what I want to set the WOT or is it just trial and error?

Vince you are better off contacting DiabloLew at Diablo.help@gmail.com

A diablo will not let you change the tune like you want to , it will allow you to add fuel add or subtract fuel but way to much work and risk . Taking a chance on running your car LEAN is not worth the $175.00 you will pay Lew

Lew will have you do a 2,400 RPM data log and then send you a tune to upload , then he will ask for a WIDE OPEN THROTTLE log , again he will make changes to your tune and return it , rinse and repeat as many times as you like but it only takes a couple of times to get a GREAT street tune using the Diablo plus he will send you a kick A%%SS TCM tune if you have a A4 or A6

I was very happy with the tunes Lew sent me
I ran 12.0xx with it on stock run flats with crappy 60 ft times and bad DA

Lew is a great communicator , answers your emails in a flash , I am confident you will like what you buy

The only way to accurately tune your WOT fueling is by using a Wideband 02 sensor set up
Also you must test the WOT AFR's where your trans is in a 1:1 gear ratio otherwise there is not enough load on the engine to make proper readings On an auto car this is in 3rd gear at WOT --1st and 2nd gear readings are in accurate as there is not enough engine load and will always read richer---Ideally n a hot street car I would shoot for a safer 12.5 to 12.7 AFR On a dedicated race car you can lean on it a bit more and shoot for a 12.9 to 12.8 AFR

Yes , there is a way to set WOT fueling. It is somewhat involved, and Dcasole has suggested a way to avoid having to learn this the hard way.

enjoy.

I read every single post and I will still eventually get Monte to tune my car. For now, my car seems to like an injector slope of +2% with headers only. WOT appears to not be pulling timing for knock so I think mine is pretty dialed in - might even be able to add some more timing or a little less fuel... but ill leave it alone until it cools down so I can test it more.

But the point of the thread is ... it is not easy to use a Diablo handheld to do a whole Tune , you can make minor adjustments and then log it , make more changes. That is the feature I like the most . Once I got my DiabloLew tune i made small changes based on the logs

But to do a from scratch Header CAI tune ... I would rather have Diablow Lew do the tune as he has done thousands and knows what works

as far as having a wideband , with just a CAI header tune , because Lew has thousands of tunes at his disposal, alot done with a wideband on a dyno , he knows where to set it and can get it close ..... it's not rocket science it's just knowing where and what to change

I thought the question was how to tune using the diablosport? Of course Lew can do way more since he has the tuner pack but for an avid "DIYer" like myself, and maybe the OP - its nice to know whats being done and how to do it.

As far as header/CAI; mine has a wrapped LS7 intake with headers. The stock 91 diablo tune did a decent job but it did run a bit lean (car kept trying to add fuel when it was cool). So I added a few percent of fuel and it seems to be running great. Mid range response went up and my LTFTs are stable (running between -2 to 2). I have a dashlogic so I'm always watching my LTFTs and KRs.

One thing I do want from Lew is to remove my rear O2s and add a little more throttle response.
