Hey folks, I have purchased a tech 2 clone so I can properly bleed my ABS module and brake system along with insuring my steering wheel is at zero after removing the rack for a harmonic balancer install. My question is will an aftermarket tune prevent me from doing so? I have a custom Diablo tune and am not sure if the tune would prevent such actions or brick the ECM/PCM/BCM. Thanks!

Thinking out loud .... Since the TechII reads hex values that represent sensors etc. and does not modify those values, rather uses the values to send commands or config parameters to those sensors etc. using the CANBUS. I would think you would be fine as a tune does much same thing. If the HexValue of a part or sensor would get changed then that's when you would brick something.
I'm a DIY type and therefor trust nothing I say since I have never done this. I'm commenting more to go back to the top (ttt) since I'm curious about this answer.
When you going in to ABS Menu of Tech2, you will find special functions. The Tech2 will cycle valves and motor of EBTCM to free trapped air. You will still go through normal bleed procedure.

I actually have to do this exact process this weekend. A good buddy of mine is a svc adviser at local GM dealer and is going to borrow one of their Tech II machines to do it. Amazing that my rears bled no problem at all, the fronts are acting like they aren't even connected to the booster LOL
There is has to be air in there (abs module), so hopefully that Tech II does it job that way I can bleed the fronts and get the tires on the car.
Keep battery charger on car when bleeding brakes with Tech II as it will kill battery in short amount of time
Good advice. Found out the hard way that the Tech2 draws more amps than you might expect. Not a problem for a quick code read, but for an extended session hook up your battery charger or power the Tech2 with a separate 12v battery. I use a 12v 18ah battery from a computer power supply, a motorcycle or ATV battery works too.
