Throttle response devices
Can someone please explain why the 2005 corvette base model is not compatible with any one of those plug and play devices that adds more, or better throttle response? I won't name any specific products so as not to call anyone one out. I've tried about 3 or 4 of them over the years with no luck after follwing the instructions to the tee.I think it may have something to do with the ECU but not sure. TIA

Because the 2005 is more like a C5 than any of the other C6's. Different ECU, BCM, Transmission (Which is most of what those are affecting for autos). Wouldn't bother with them, get it tuned or have some fun tuning it yourself.

Why would you want one? Just push the throttle more. They don't make the car faster, they just ramp the throttle pedal to request more % with less pedal, it can't request more than 100%, so WOT is the same. Spend the money on a real tune, more power, better economy, and you can ramp the throttle in the tune if you really want it.
