Tune

Check out the DS-MFD PredatorX or inTune 3 8245.
But if you want to get a dyno tune, the best first upgrade would be to add a set of headers. With a tune, you will see significant gains that you will feel.
A tune is only as good as the tech doing it. As mentioned above, if you're an automatic, then get the trans tuned, too.
As far as LS7's go...Post tune, the car feels like it pulls just as hard, in 1-gear lower, after the tune.
In other words...
5th now feels like 4th did.
4th feels like 3rd did
3rd feels like 2nd did
2nd almost feels like 1st did
And 1st is practically useless, unless you "pedal" the car. Or, just use 1st to get the car moving.
This was for an LS7, NOT an LS3.
But, it's going to be similar, I reckon.
No appreciable loss in fuel mileage. Engine runs cooler, too.

Also, I've yet to hear of anyone ever being flagged for CVNs at a testing station.
I like the Predator 2 device, myself. (I also have a PowerCommander V...for racing purposes only.)
EDIT: I like the Diablo products.

Then, when I got this Autocal in the mail, which was this past Friday, we did the transmission tune for my A6, and OMG, I cannot say enough about it. I had a C7 Grand Sport auto, and my car now—this is a C6 Grand Sport with A6—ships better than that. In fact, it is so much better (faster, firmer, crisper), and it includes the use of paddles if you want to use them. When I am at full WOT, this thing will break traction. I have a bone-stock 2013 Grand Sport auto. The tune cost $1100, and I think it is 1000% worth it, man. Honestly, I almost feel bad for those who don’t have it. For the price you get engine tune, trans tune, 160 thermostat, shipping, and FREE use of a remote tuner to get into perfect spec.
I used to drive with traction control off all the time and hammer it—I never worried. Now, I won’t. I cannot say enough about it. If you are really looking for something special and are seriously considering options, then I suggest calling Chuck. I will say, he got the PCM to me in about a week. The Autocal took about three weeks, and I was getting eager, but other customers tend to take their time returning these devices or can’t data log because of bad weather, which holds the process up.
The day I got my Autocal, we loaded the transmission tune, and the next day I was able to log three sessions. He then sent me an adjusted tune, which was as crisp as my car was a little rich down low. I was supposed to record more today and send it back to him, but I got rained out, causing a delay.
He also has a link he can email to you, and when you’re on the phone with him, he can hop on your PC—so you can see him open the EFI Live software—and he will explain what he is doing if you want, or if you just need help. I am not computer-savvy, and I was able to learn how to record and send data, then download and upload his tune to my car.
If you call him, tell him Joseph Tito sent you. He’s a cool guy, very knowledgeable, and he enjoys doing this tuning—914-332-0049. I am active duty Navy here, and I plan to send him a few small swag items when I return the Autocal and my old PCM because I really appreciate what my car is now.
Good luck in your search!
