i have a dealer who is willing to deal with me on coupe that is optioned CLOSE to what i am looking for. It is 6-speed;mag ride instead of 6-speed;Z51 (darn!) and it dont have NAV... The question is can the dealer reto-fit the nav; He says the stuff is available over the counter but..isnt sure it will all work together when it done especially the speakers......ps it has XM and 6-disk and ON-star. Im willing to bet alot of c6 owners will be asking this question...

From previous posts, it can probablybe done, BUT the problem is, according to CorvettePartsBob, is the NAV radio is on constraint and dealers can not get them yet. He does not even have a good part number to order it.
I was able to change the non NAV radio in my H2 to the NAV version with little trouble. The XM and On-Star are seperate modules and not part of the in-dash radio, regardless if it is NAV or not.
Since the HUD is already intergrated into the car's computer bus, and currently shows the non-NAV radio channels, etc, I would not believe this to be a problem either. I doubt there are two different NAV systems.
Wait for the factory car. Every time someone tries to pull something like this it ends up as a boondoggle. Seriously, there are plenty of cars out there. Find one optioned the way you want it.

You can have a much better system by using an aftermarket head unit like this
Looks like it will fill the space in the dash perfectly and you then have many more options. Like playing an MP3, Viewing a DVD, Nav, HDD MP3, Srius or XM sat, rear cam...... You can even put a custom vet image on it.
Knowing what I know now about the stock nav system I never would have got it. I may remove mine and replace it with this. I am sure there is some one out there that just has to have the stock crap, I can probally sell it for more than it would cost to install this.
