I contacted 2 code reader/scanner manuf.
ACTRON &
AUTOXRAY
Autoxray has a reader model EZ 1000(List price $159) they claim it can read codes on the C6. However some unit currently in stores may not be upgraded to 3.03 (CAN technology ?). These units can be upgraded on line at no charge or you can return the unit to Autoxray , and for $15 they will upgrade it for you. It may also be possible to buy an upgraded unit direct but you will pay list price.Contact email autoxray.com
Actron has a new unit available at Aid and Napa stores-Model CP 9125 code reader. I'm told it capable to read codes on the C6 out of the box. Good news, it's priced under $100. Contact actron.com
At this point I'm only reporting the info. I have not purchased either unit yet. For some of you who have readers/scanners that are not too old they may be upgradeable. My Actron is 5 years old and is not upgradeable.

did you happen to ask Actron about the CP9145, or did they imply that the CP9125 was the only one that worked?
thanks for the info.

i thiught we where supposed to be able to pull codes from the dash with the new on board computer. if not 100 is not much to be able to at least find out the problem even if we decide to have someone else do it. helps keep them honest.
