i just installed my CAGS a minute ago while i had my car on the lift to do my exhaust...
well i installed it and then was just sittin around when i looked and it said the negative battery cable needed to be unplugged
i didnt do it cuz i didnt wanna let the car all the way back down
so i just installed it with the cable still connected
is this a problem???
i have always hear to unplug the negative cable when dealin with O2 sensors but i never have
im gonna do another CAGS on my dads car so do i need to unhook the neg cable this time???
While I always recommend proper procedures be followed...Butt that I am...........no problem..........It's a legal precaution so you don't get hurt tripping an airbag.
I skipped the battery disconnect as well. No big deal...I'm not sure, but I would doubt if there's any juice going to the CAGS when the car is shut down properly...
