I just bought my C6 and was looking for a way to bump up the HP. I tried a set of Borla cat back mufflers. The sound was good but very loud. As a matter of fact too loud. They resonated so loud I couldn’t hear the radio and almost had to shout when talking to my passenger especially b/t 1,500 and 2,000 rpm. I tried putting dynamatting in the hatch and under the passenger compartment. It helped but not enough. Before I had the stock mufflers put back on, my Kooks headers with a larger crossover pipe arrived. The dealer said the larger crossover pipe would stop some of the resonance so, I had them installed with the Borla mufflers. It sounded like I was running no mufflers at all. Needless to say I had the stock muffles put back on. After all this, I still wasn’t happy. I read about the resonance canceling technology of the Corsa touring mufflers and decided to give them a try. Martin the local rep talked me into the Corsa sports because the Corsa touring cat back wouldn’t fit with my long tubes. What a difference. It was just what I was looking for. A good powerful sound on acceleration that turns heads from down the block to a very tolerable low or no rumble in the cabin while cruising. Now, instead of “nice car” I get “man, it sounds good”. For me (a middle aged first time corvette buyer) there is no question Corsa sport is the way to go.
Just dyno'ed with the Borla Stingers and X-pipe 353RWHP. But that's not the point - they sound loud outside the car but are quite tame inside. Gave two rides to prespective buyers and they were surprised at how quiet they were especially at cruise in 6th! With the windows down they sound sweet!
Just turned 46 today and yes I do know what they say. It’s not the sound of your muffler, it’s the length of your tube . I’m not ragging on the Borlas, just telling you what I went through. They weren't the stingers and the sound outside the car isn’t what bothered me. I haven’t even heard the stingers. On the drive to work, I can only get up to 40 or 50 mph so the car stayed around 1.5 to 2k rpm. I had to really turn up the radio to overcome the resonance sound and almost shout to talk to my passenger. All I can tell you is that the Corsa sports sound great and I don’t continue to hear them ten minutes after I get out of the car. By the way Martin Workman installed the sports. Knew what he was doing.
That sounds sad. I was looking for some Stingers but NOT louder than the Corsa sports.
Hmmmmm
It was a new shop in Nashville Perfection motors and they also did a good job with the install. They weren't the stingers and you might be very happy with those. I’m not sure what model my Borlas were. All I know is that the combination of the Kooks long tube headers from Andy at A&A and the Corsa sports were what I was looking for. I like the sound and I can tell the difference in the way the car accelerates. Hope your as happy with whatever you choose. Now I’m going to start saving for my magnacharger. I talked to the people at Ed Lingenfelter today and they said they should have a setup ready in a couple months. Although, I’d hate to be without my car for 2 to 4 weeks while it’s in Indiana.

Thanks for posting your experience. That is exactly what I am looking for. I just ordered the sport system and can't wait for it to get here.

My Stingers with X-Pipe have no resonance inside the car at all. Couldn't be happier with this set-up. Another plus is the visual appearance of the 4" round tips. Beefy and fills in the back area nicely.
