Installation Brite Lite
To all who have installed one, after removing the four screws, is there enough wire to pull the existing light out and disconnect the harness from outside the facsia and have all of you had to make the third hole larger. Some mention it others don't.
Rich - Installing the light is a piece of cake . Just don't drop the nuts ! There is plenty of room in there . It looks great when complete . Just go slow and it will come out fine !
No problem here. The connector with wire was long enough. Did not have to expand the hole. I think the mod. is a great looking addition to the rear end.
I just installed mine last night - it was super easy. Getting the old lite off was tricky since the screws must all come up at the same time. It helps to push the screws up from underneath after you have removed the nuts. As for the wire, my wire clip got stuck under the hole so I had to jiggle it a little to get it to slide through as I removed the original lite. Once it was out, the new lite had plenty of wire to reclip and easily replace the new lite. Total mod time about 10 minutes and I really took my time. Looks great!
The installation was easy. You do need a long 10 mm socket to reach the nuts, because the bolts are pretty long. Sure looks great on my Mil. Yellow car -- the black one really bugged me.
