remove front plate holder (double stick)

Hi, Anyone know what the procedure is for removing the front number plate bracket is when it is the double stick tape....chevy said they were sending out a sheet on it...but I can't find it....???

Other threads have mentioned that dental floss will cut through the tape and release the plate holder.

I must admit I have never tried this myself so have no idea how hard it is to do.

If it is like the BSM's onthe C5, heat it up with a hair dryer then use the dental floss. Remove any residue with WD40

We removed one the other day. Just apply heat and it will easily peel off. The attach your plate to the holder, throw it in the dirt and tell the officer it just fell off.

Use Goo Gone...Its made for taking off sticker residue & bumper stickers...Its works awesome & wont ruin the paint..It sells at walgreens,walmart or ace hardware

thx everyone........I used the hair dryer and it came off easily....used some wd40 to clean off residue...then cleaned that off and applied a little wax and buffed, looks great....thx again...
