Hud With Tint??

Does anyone know if tinting the front Window have any affect on the HUD? i Always tinted my front windshield but never had the HUD...

Uh - it shouldn't affect the HUD as it reflects off the inner surface - but I still wouldn't recommend tinting the windshield - it is highly illegal and it SEVERELY degrades your visibility at all times, making night driving far more hazardous. Have the cops ever said anything about tinting the windshield?

No Never Had a Prob with the Cops...I dont tint it real Dark.. I forget what % i use but its Very Light tint..Cant really tell from the outside with the windows up...only if you had the side windows down u would tell.Keeps the inside and dash much cooler in temp....In Floridas Hot Sun..

Tinting wont harm or reduce the HUD but it will diminish your sight of vision. Why drive a bullet with blinders on..Drive safe..

It will get you straight to jail in states I've lived in. FL must be slack.

Some states don't care as much as others. I'm pretty sure the law in Texas is you can only have the top 6" or so tinted. I wouldn't mind having a very light tint put on mine to help knock the glare down some.
