Default Kooks Lt Headers Question

I just ordered these headers and they will be getting installed along with my exhaust system. I was reading somewhere that these 1 3/4 inch KOOKS headers are designed for stock or modded corvettes that have an air intake system. The reason I'm asking is because last week I got a really good price on a BBK cold-air intake, so I ordered it and will be installing when it arrives. Does everyone who has these headers have a intake system? Cold Air? Ram Air? What exactly is the difference? Thank you

I do, but no air intake. After all the research that I did no-one has proven that the intake adds any value. To me, in an untechnical way, ram air and cold air intakes are systems that bring in forced(from the speed of the car) air from out side the car instead of from the engine area. Giving the air a cooler temp at which combust. Others can give a better explanation. To me it wasn't worth the extra $$ until its been tried and proven to add hp.

You are going to love the sound of your car after the mods.
