after you set the back in pull it towards the rear, it should then drop down into place, also make sure the front locks are open.
Make sure roof locks fully open. Use the body line on top of roof, and line up with body line on car. It's a good
visual mark. Slide rear posts in and gently tap the front down. Close locks.
I have both the painted and transparent roofs. What I have found is that it required a little force to insert the "pins" in the rear of the roof first (I start on the left). Its more force that on the C5 had so I was a little timid at first but now that I feel a little more confident that I'm doing it right - everything seems to work/fit just right. Good luck.
1) Open all loatches on the top ( two on the front and one in the center rear)
2) Place the top on the car with the rear of the top down in position to slide the pins into place.
3) Sit down in the car and close the rear latch which will pull the top pins back into place.
4) Pull down on the front two latches and rotate inot the locked position.
5) Drive off with a

At the risk of being repetitive; After applying that Shin-Etsu grease, my top slides in much more easily and I got rid of the squeaking roof syndrome. Push the rear pins in firmly, seat the front of the top down, latch the rear first and then the front. Now that I got the hang of it, I think it's easier than the C-5. I didn't feel that way at first.
The car is very tight which all in all is a good thing, put the rear in aligned with the body panels and the front will be sitting up a little and as mentioned above it will drop into place with a little hand pressure.
Method # 432
1. place roof in position on top of car
2. sit in car and grasp forward latches while they remain in the open position
3. tilt leading edge of roof up and then pull back (eyes on pins to insure alignment and insertion)
4. maintain rearward pressure and bring forward handles down to rotate and latch.

YES and CORRECT.
Those rear pins are hard to set with the roof. This is the hassle part. REAR PINS.
