I need a wheel education. Understand differences between Stamped, Cast and Forged wheels. Forged being the best due to greater strength and low weight. I see forged wheels with, what looks like rivets around the rim. Understand these are 2 piece or 3 piece forged and less expensive than the wheels that are 1 piece.
1. Is there any advantage to 2 or 3 piece forged wheels other than price?
2. Is there any real difference between 2 piece or 3 piece forged?
3. Am I AFU thinking that one piece forged are the best?
This may not be a direct answer for you, but remember when you change wheels that you'll need to transfer or replace the tire pressure sensors. If you transfer them you'll need to make sure left front goes to left front, etc... Also, the learn procedure has changed from C5, it sounds like you need a special tool. You need to perform the learn if you replace them or if they get switched around.

The advantage of the multipiece wheels to you as a customer is if you damage the wheel, you only have to replace the damaged part, and not the whole wheel. This can be a money saver for those who habitually curb their wheels. A more substantial whack, though, will probably still require the entire wheel to be replaced. To the wheel manufacturer, the advantage is that a single center design can be used for a number of different wheel widths and offsets. This reduces tooling and inventory costs.
As an asthetic matter, I don't care for the exposed bolt heads on many of the multipiece wheels. Others like the look. To my eye, the Champion one piece wheels Daemon is selling are the most attractive, as well as probably being the lightest and strongest. I don't want 19-20s on my car, though, and 18-18 doesn't look right to me. I want wheels in the 18-19 stagger the car came with.

I like the no-rivet Champions as well. Too bad they don't make em for John Deere
