I've never been able to figure out why GM uses an H pipe unit. Exhaust gases don't like to make right and left turns, so the H pipe doesn't really work very well. The aftermarket X-pipes work as designed to equalize pressure between exhaust pulses which gives greater scavenging an increased torque. That's It!
Andy, TKS for the info, I'm probably going to get the "X" pipe
from WCC. They told me when they installed the Corsa that
they were making one just for the Corsa setup...Thanks again.
several of us have done the BB X pipe with the Corsa Sport install>>>
Now my saga..did a dyno pre Corsa/X pipe...did the Corsa and X pipe install and now trying to get the post install dyno to get some real info...but weather and projects not helping the schedule..so MAYBE this week.
So why the X pipe...the CLAIMED benefit is greater mid rpm gains in the hp and torque area...I can say the set up sounds great and certainly my butt dyno says something positive is happening..but butt dyno is like manufacturers' claims...short on proof and long on bravado or ego...

X pipe does not eliminate cats... as to loudness gains... I have not actually heard a Corsa Sport with H pipe...the two C6s around here both have Corsa with X pipe...all I know the sound is sweet and no interior drone
