MTI Devil Ray 427 Hits The Track!

MTI Devil Ray 427 hits the track!

The new MTI Devil Ray 427 hit the drag strip for the first time Sunday afternoon. Here are the results:

60’: 1.586
330: 4.543
1/8: 6.997
mph: 102.56
¼: 10.98
mph: 128.85

This was accomplished using 17” M/T E.T. streets. This package has proved to be extremely streetable as the vehicle drives in traffic just as if it were stock. The extremely mild camshaft chosen for this package allows for an excellent balance between drivability and power. This was also performed using the factory 3.42 axle ratio. We’ll have pictures and video up soon.

Very Impressive!

I guess the next question is, why buy a new slower Z06 for $75-$80k when you could get a Devil Ray C6 for alot less money.

How much less? I didn't see anything about price mentioned on their website.

I priced the 427 package and it is not too much cheaper than a new Z06, BUT you get a lot more power and you do save some money.

Very true and there is also the other stuff you get with the Z that would cost a lot of money if you wanted to make the standard car comparable in all the parameters.
