Don't get the Kook's if you don't like the sound of a Ferrari Modena !
Thats what I have and thats what my C6 sounds like, although I don't really know what a modena sounds like, I know what an INDY car sounds like, and I know what my car sounds like. Anyway Kooks come in Long Tubes and thats your best option if your looking for moderate power gains and tremendous increase in throttle response.
As long as you have cats you dont have to worry about smell. The stock location is lost with the headers so they have to be mounted with 02 extensions at the front of the mid section. Its easiest to get the mid section/cats that come with the headers in question. This will include an xpipe.
Kooks' primaries measure 25-26 inches average. True there not the standard 32's, but they have an excellent 3 inch collector with the famous pickle fork in the center of the collector which acclerates the exhaust flow to improve scavenging of the cylinders. Exhaust velocities
is what gives you the great low to mid-range torque and excellent HP. Torque is what moves you on the street!
I ordered Kooks headers last week for my C6. I already have the Corsa Sport on. I'll get to hear how much louder it makes it. The Corsa Sport isn't that loud.
