Exhaust plate installation

I ordered a billit alum. exhaust plate from WWC for my C6.
The instructions are not that clear.
Does the plate go between the nut and exhaust bracket or between the exhaust bracket and the frame. The instructions mention somethinig about pulling the exhaust bracket forward.

I've installed this plate. It goes between the bracket and the chassis. It's a tight fit, but it does go with some wrangling. Be carefull tigthening the bolts...I stripped one installing it.

I did not jack up my car when I installed my exhaust plate. It is a tight working area though if you do not.
