Just a little info...
The first is heat transfer from the center tunnel into the interior. A cold bottle of water is undrinkable after an hour in the cup holder and the driver's side of the tunnel gets really warm against my leg. I'm thinking there should be more insulation in that area - don't know what the dealer will do.
The second issue.. now that the car is hot, the fuel gauge stops working and a 'Service Fuel System' message is displayed on the DIC. After a few minutes, it works again... only to stop and start... stop and start... etc. until the car cools down completely. I just read some info from a thread about a problem with the fuel sender cards - could this be the same issue? And speaking of hot... why doesn't the factory put a 190 deg. thermostat in these guys? I still can't get used to the high operating temps (hey I'm old, ok).
Finally, I'm kind of amazed that the Z51 brakes make SO MUCH NOISE. You'd think that the pads came from Wal-Mart... anybody think the dealer will address that one?
Thanks in advance for the help - I'm new to the forum.
I've had both sending units replaced (we have two saddle tanks and pumps). I've got some inside info that this month May brand new up graded sending units are comming. It's not going to be a TSB or recall. So hang on or check with your dealer, because there comming. Mine are working fine, but I'm going to replace them with the up graded ones anyway. As for your heat build up in console? I've not noticed it being really bad. Nor did I notice it in my C5. I've got the Z51 package and don't notice any noise when braking. A lot of dust though. As for thermostat, If you check with your dealer, you'll find that the degree thermostat is a 86 degree cent. or 186.6 F degree. Im running a 160 like I did in my C5 and it runs at 178-183 on the road. I'm waiting for my tunner Ron Zimmer who said he found fan controls, so I can reset my fan sequences. Good luck

You can get ceramic pads to help with the noise and the dust with the brakes, someone posted part numbers in this forum very recently.
