The system recognizes and unlocks the doors ONLY when I approach the passenger door............does not unlock at the drivers door. Have tried both fobs.......no difference. Any ideas? When I press the unlock button on either fob the doors unlock........it is only the passive feature that is not working on the drivers side
Yeah, I concur...take it in to the dealer...unless you have access to a code reader, then you could find out more...or if you are handy with a voltmeter and aren't afraid to remove your center console.
Dealer is going to look at it tomorrow...............if a minor attenna problem that can easily be fixed - i'll get it done.........if they have to tear the whole interior apart to get at some module someplace - forget it ........i'll do with out passive unlcoking!
Have them check for the code I sent you, if it is there, have them check the antenna to see if it is plugged in and to test it the way the service manual says. Good Luck, hope your dealer is good

Dealer is good! The Tech is excellent! He tracked it to the antenna on the driver side........ordered a new one.........swapped it out with the one that operates the trunk......now the door works as it should and when the new one comes in he will put that one at the trunk which is a whole heck of lot easier to get to than the driver side. It turns out that the driver side antenna is not where the manual says it is IF you have a power top covertible. Thanks for your help!
