Default Anyone get a reflash?

Just wondering if anyone has mailed out their computer for a flash tuning, who you used and the results? I've been kinda chicken to trust UPS or Fedex with my computer.Cartek and Z- industries offers this service.

I can send you an exchange PM so your car won't be down or you have to worry about them loosing your PCM. Do that all the time. Your car an M6 or auto?

Ed, good to see you posting here. Your name speaks for itself. What is the price for this? Can you give an estimate of HP gains on:

1. a stock MN6 C6 from tuning only?

2. MN6 C6 with only Vortex and Corsa cat back. I'm just asking for the gains from the tuning only here....as if before and after dyno runs were made AFTER the mods were installed and the only difference was tuning. I realize that this is a shot in the dark. Your guestimate would be good enough.

I have been tuning these since the 1st of the year. Have my own software. I have done a couple of stock M6 Vettes, 13 hp & 13 ft lbs at the wheels was average. All these vehicles had less than 3000 miles on them, and bone stock otherwise. Same gains on M6 GTOs. Have only done one head & cam GTO. Torque mgt is a killer at the track. The GTO (very mild combo) made 420 hp & 417 tq, but would only run 13.08 before I located the torque management tables. Shut that off and it went 12.41. Still made the same on the dyno, but ran much quicker when hammered on at the track with slicks mounted. Torque management was almost non-existant on the manual trans cars until this year. Whole new deal now. The stock M6 GTOs & Vettes I had here made the same power. If I showed you the dyno graphs with no names you could not tell which vehicle was which.

I have tuned two blown Procharged C6 Vettes, and one blown SSR truck. The truck used a Magnacharger, about the only thing that would fit under the hood. Don't want to run a lot of boost, but ATI's new intercooler for the Vette works very well. Was able to run more timing than I expected. Made the same ower as my blown LS6 customer's cars, but more torque.

The LS2 is a great engine. Great torque curve. I would trade that for bigger peak hp numbers any day. You can call us @ 918-446-3019 for a price. I'm not a sponser here, so don't know if I can post prices. I don't want to offend anybody. I don't get on the internet much, especially in the summer. Not much time with work like it is this time of year, so my visits are infrequent. Hope you didn't think I was ignoring you.

Take care, Ed

Yes, that is correct. I only have two extra LS2 boxes right now. Will have to get more as demand increases.

Thanks, Ed

Brett, it is about where the C5 PCM is. That is down low, behind the passenger side front tire. John (works here) says it is easier to get out than the C5. I have never actualy pulled either one, (That's what he gets for being young. <G>) so can't say for sure exactly what to take loose to gain access. The box looks much differemt. This one is smaller, and in a finned cast aluminium case.

Take care, Ed

I would like to ask a stupid question. How do you know how to set the various parameters without having the car on hand? Wouldnt they all be a little different and need a personal touch?

If you have developed your tuning with stock vehicles, it pretty much works on all stock vehicles. Once in a while you will find one with the MAF calibration shifted or fuel pressure regulator calibration is high or low from the norm, so the fueling will be wrong. That is not very common. The only way to make certain you have a particular vehicle optimized is to have it on hand. Not practical for some people. Same goes for modified vehicles, if it is a combination you have tuned a few times. Some of my fastest customers I have never met, or seen their cars in person. Brining the car in is best, but results not always much better. Depends on a lot of things. Sometimes people just can't make it here, or to where ever for dyno work.

Take care, Ed
