Default Changing out thermostat?

I am going to get a reflash done to my computer and the shop recommended a 180 thermostat since they're lowering the fan temp.Seems pretty simple, dealer wants 150.00 labor to do it.I was told you have to bleed the system after you refill? How hard is this to do,the part is like 30.00,thanks.

Its not that hard, you simply have to pump the hose while you fill the top end of the radiator with dexcool. I just did this last week with my LS2 GTO. Not really a big issue- very easy to install- two bolts on the bell housing and the thermo can only go in one way.

I saw where the thermostat is,how do you " pump the hose while you fill the top end of the radiator".
