im currently have an borla exhaust on order and plan to get LG motorsports headers in a few months. My next step would be either to get a cam or supercharger. Im not to familiar with either in relation to the c6 so i dont know the disadvantages or advantages. I kinda am leaning toward a new cam..but the supercharger would sound sweet too. Im very torn...any experiences with either choice from c5/c6 owners. Drawbacks, advantages etc etc.
Headers, exhaust, low temp thermostat, tuning, underdrive pulley and the cam and you will have 425 rwhp and still be streetable. The supercharger will put too much stress on the motor. Also, anything above 425 rwhp and you will have traction problems in the lower gears. 425 rwhp is 500 hp to the crank, trust me, that is plenty.
thanks...its is important for me to keep it streetable...no sense in a whole lot of power if i cant put it to the ground now that im thinking about it...thanks fredo
Kooks headers, Magnaflows 160 thermostat, K and N's and tuning by Z-industries cost me $3700. I'M getting prices for cam, pulleys, pushrods and springs for about $2500. The cost of the cam is only $500, everything else is labor.
If you want to add a SC or TC, you will need to replace the heads to lower compression. The LS2 runs high compression heads and any forced induction system will not work well with the stock heads.
