Default lowering damage?

I was thinking of lowering my c6 but am afraid if there are any reprocutions to ride quality but more important for racing as I plan on doing at least a couiple of auto'x events and a couple of track days as well. I thought I remember reading somewhere that a someone was having problems after he lower his c6, but i guess this is also how rumors start.

thanks

Depends how low you go. If you leave stock bushings on, I don't think you would have problems. I cut mine and dropped it all the way down...since then have raised it up about 3/4" in rear and 1/2" in front. I posted my ride height from ground to fender here in another thread...I think it was 26 5/8" rear and 26" front now. Ride is rougher...bumps can hit harder, and car is "bouncier" at speed over dips and bumps...race tracks are usually pretty smooth, so not too sure it would affect you a ton, but get ready on the street (I raised mine up a little to prevent bottoming out of the stoppers).

I'm happy with the looks/performance where it is now.

I just lowered mine. I used the lowering bolts from WCC on the rear and it's at 27-1/2. The front I left the stock bolts and went down as far as I could which is 26-3/4. Haven't driven the car much yet, though. Measure at the center of the wheel (from the ground). I may go a little lower on the rear, but I'm leaning towards leaving the front alone.

I lowered mine using the WCC kit and there is absouletly no squeeks whatsoever. There is hardly a half finger gap in teh front and a full finger gap in the rear. I wuld always lower a corvette due to the fact it looks more sleeker and mean and handles like no other. Other corvette owners scrape their front bumper with a stock height and i havent scraped my bumper yet. I guess peope jus dont know that your supposed to angle it goin into or out of a driveway and on speedbumps.
