Anyone have a dyno before and after the bullets installed. There are alot of claims out there I would like to see in black and white? I heard Corsas where 12.9 hp to rear wheels and a friend of mine said about 15 to rear wheels on C5. I have a hard time believing anything more than a couple HP.
Put it this way, Corsa Sports AND Kooks headers/x-pipe/hi-flow cats made 25 RWHP untuned on my C6. Now how much of that was from just the Corsa system? Half? No way! Then put on Bullets ... louder, yes ... any significant RWHP, no. The stock system isn't too bad from a performance standpoint (just lacking on the right sound).

That is what I was thinking also from a sound point the bullets are a little deeper but don't quite have the sharp rasp of the sports. Do you that is about right of course that is just from sound clips
i have the bullets and dynatech headers installed with x-pipe. i noticed a gain in HP between 3000-6000 RPM's, but i have yet to put it on the dyno. the bullets are incredibly loud as you said, i absolutely love them. however, if you are looking for HP increase, it lies in the headers, NOT in the exhaust itself. you will get little to no HP increase from JUST a new exhaust, and i dont care what they claim. the increase is in the headers and x-pipe. the sound is in the exhaust. good rule of thumb

Folks are trying to sell gear. Take all with a grain of salt.
2 cars in VA, same dyno, same operator, same day:
one w/Kooks/HF Cats/Corsa
one bone stock
The Mod car pulled 29 HP better than the stock
My guess is that cat backe do 10 HP or less. Consider this - Dynos have a 3-5% measurement error. That's 10-15HP. That means that statistically anything within 10 HP difference is relatively meaningless.

so are we saying that nothing is to be gained from the pipes ? the bb bullets are basically straight pipes (over the axle - that's where the bottleneck is - and all the current pipes have the same problem) with a little inline "glasspack" style padding Not the same as a glasspack but simliar in design but updated packing).
the quicker you get the exhaust to exit the more performance you will notice. the warmer the exhaust the better it will flow through the pipes. the limiting factor in heat retention and the cause for exhuast flow slow down is in the cats. the exhuast will exit the exhaust port, start to cool and slow down, hit the collector (exhaust flow will stall or slow until there is enough heat generated to ignite the cats. - actually a series of screens that become red hot and burn the remaining fuel in the exhaust fumes). then, once it exits the super heated collector it, once again begins to cool and slow. the size of the pipe will determine how much it will cool and slow down, and in turn create pressure for the next wave of exhaust to push against. a larger pipe will hold take more exhaust to fill the pipes and heat them sufficiently before flow will reach it's max flow rate. a smaller pipe will heat the pipe sooner but it can also cause a restriction in the exhuast flow. in order to match the exhaust system to the engine to obtain maximum performance you would need to measure to the VE of the engine and match the exhaust side to the flow rate of the exhaust system.
wow, i ended up rambling on that one, sorry about that.
The exhaust gives better sound and less restricted flow. You're making the extra power from the the long tube headers.Put exhaust only on and dyno you will see only a slight increase in the #'s.Jerry
