Default Hardwire Battery Tender?

*** Moderator please delete. Meant for C5 Tech forum. ***

Has anyone hardwired their Battery Tender? By hardwire I mean connected the Battery Tender ring connectors right to the battery. I tried to do it yesterday and discovered that I could not fit the ring connectors between the battery and battery cables. So I started to look around and discovered a possible solution.

There is terminal on the fuse box that has a cable that leads right to the battery’s positive post and another on the chassis that has a cable that runs to the battery’s negative post. In the photo below I have laid the Battery Tender cable onto the two terminals that I referenced to illustrate. Is this a good solution? Any reason not to do it this way?

Thanks for your help!

I hard-wired mine on my C6 at the battery posts and ran the wires and connecter plug in protective flex conduit to the right-front part of the grille.
