Default C6 Fuel sender/sensor issues

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place? I just can't spend the time to scan all the possible categories and subjects.

Recently questions were asked about failures regarding the C6 fuel gauge, typically referred to as the "Drop to Empty Syndrome", common on C5's. The C6 problem is not the same as on the C5's. The initial response was posted "somewhere" on this forum, and what is posted below is a follow-on to that post and subsequent questions. This information, as well as the previous response, comes from a very high level.

---------------------------

The left fuel sender was made available first because it [accounted for] 95% of the [failure] cases.
It is all that is required. Remember the fuel is drawn from the right tank
first so the sender leaves the full range fairly quickly. The left tank
stays full and regular driving can cause the float to swing past the
contact and it will loose its signal. When this occurs the message is
sent.

[C6] Owners should not wait for the sender for the right tank. In almost
every case the right side will not be required.

Bruce,

Can you please followup and verify that the tranny does not need dropping and/or removal. Thanks.

PS. Can the full TSB be listed here?
