Not sure if this is good or bad, but I've noticed my skip shift is no longer forcing me from 1st to 4th. Should I be worried? I'm actually enjoying it.
I did have a borla exhaust installed a few weeks back...don't believe there's any connection.

Thoughts?
I kept thinking the same thing when I first got my
vette. Every time it turned out to be one of:
- engine not warmed up
- shift into 1st without stopping
Mine is freakin working and annoying the hell out of me. Because I am breaking my new Vert "less than 500 miles" I have been trying to shift smoothly at lower RPMs and the damn thing has gone off at least 10 times in 150 miles. I can't believe GM has not been sued by someone who has crashed as a result of it. Anyway the CAGs eliminator is going on this weeknd!!
My .02:
I don't doubt that some people have been annoyed by the 1 to 4 shift. My own personal experience (over 2000 miles) : Kicked in maybe 3 times - tops. I drive town/city/highway and have found that as long as you shift normally (that is - accelerate smoothly) it shouldnt be a factor. It does suck when you are in stop and go (slow) traffic (esp if driving at about 15MPH) but if you just keep it in 1st and speed up a little, it usually goes off.
tfenton,
Congratulations! You've learned to not drive like an old lady!
Most people learn how to drive correctly and avoid it after just a few weeks experience. On the rare occasion that it does interfere, go to 3rd instead.
