Can anyone illuminate me on the Performance Axle with automatic transmission as to how it compares to stock in:
Top end speed
0-60 performance

Sorry I don't have the C6,, but I special ordered my C5 w/ 3.15 per axle. Really improves the acceleration,, but does drop gas milage about 2 mpg. I was shopping for a C6 a few days ago and was told,, GM is restricting the per axle in the auto car. I told the dealer,, if I could not get the per axle I would wait until one was available. So sorry I don't have track numbers,, I don't do 1/4 mile on the track.. only normal daily driving.

3:15 gears will improve off the line acceleration.
Stock 2:73 gears will provide higher top end speeds.
Fuel consumption with the standard gears should be somewhat better.
Either set should be very durable.

I have had the performance axle on my last two automatic Corvettes however, the C6 does not have it. I do not see any great difference in performance as a daily driver. Perhaps, it is the 400 hp that makes up the difference in the gearing.
