thoughts requested

the white piece is a three inch elbow, trimmed and inserted at the end of the air duct. the elbow and lower filter extend through the shroud and sit in the grill at the center of the nose. the filter is aimed straight down with a slight, very slight angle toward the front.

this shows how the elbow is trimmed and enters the air duct.
when the air filter setup is installed there are three filters, the two stock ones and the new one. the added filter extends through the shroud and is positioned in the grill at the nose. the filter is aimed stright down with a slight angle toward the front. I have also added small hood that wraps around the rear of the front filter to catch air that enters the front, air is also directed up into the pipe from the lower air dam. i suspect more air would be forced into it as velocity is increased. just my thoughts, i could be completely wrong.
any thoughts about this would be appreciated.

Quite an idea though! If it works...then you've beaten many an engineer with expensive CAD software! Dyno that baby and let's see!

thanks, i'm eager to see what type of difference it makes, if any. seat of the pants says yes, but you know how that goes. only actual repeatable numbers count.
the maf is in the stock location with it's screen removed but other screens are in place to direct/smooth the airflow.
