Without cutting your Magnaflows to remove? No cutting is required to reinstall the OEM catback.
Did you remove the entire OEM catback for a complete Magnaflow catback? Or did you simply cut out and replace the stock mufflers?
Assuming you ONLY cut out the stock mufflers, you'll need break (or slightly cut) the weld tabs on the factory band clamps (where the catback and center section join).
Remove any remaining pieces from the center section.
As Zig mentioned, drop the swaybar.
Rotate the mufflers back into place. You may need to use the buddy system to help slip the tubing back into place.
All done.
If you installed the entire Magnaflow catback, then simply remove your current setup and reverse the process with the new OEM parts.
If you are looking for a stock exhaust, I have one in perfect shape. Only has 500 miles on it. I have from exhaust manifold to the tips, if you are interested, let me know. It will be cheaper than a new one.
Switching back til I find the correct exhaust for me. I got impatient and did the Magnaflow muffler mod and am just not happy with the sound. Not that it is bad but it is not what I want for a refined car like the C6. KC

I thought the Magnaflow was a fairly refined sound. When you say refined are you talking tonal quality such as exotic or based on loudness?

Same question, does unrefined mean too loud or an unpleasant sound. My impression of Magnaflows is that they are deeper sounding, but only marginally louder than stock. Werenyou experiencing something different?

Maybe he didn't install the complete Magnaflow system and just purchased the generic stainless steel mufflers.
That being said, I installed B&B Route 66 system on my C5 after about one year of ownership.
I sold it a year after installation and swore then I would never install another loud system on a new Corvette. It had gotten very annoying after a short peroid of time.
The other mods seemed to improve performance but the exhaust only seemed to add decibils.
My 2006 won't see a after market exhaust system. I've got my Harley for the noise maker.
I have had Magnaflows on some of my trucks and swear by them. My issue is that I have the auto and when it shifts under light acceleration it does not sound crisp. It sounds like when someone puts duals on a v6 (terrible). If I had a stick it would be much better.
The sound under acceleration is very nice, likewise at idle. I have heard a few other exhausts since this install and although they were too loud they did sound better. It was also very tough to get the tips perfect when doing a redneck engineering job on the muffler rack. In retrospect I really feel the car deserves a perfect fit designed system that when I hear a few more I will purchase the one I want.
This could have happened with any system. I thought it was a cheap trial in lieu of paying 11-1400 and not like it. Just not the right sound for me. Take care! KC
