Have a c6 w/ Borla exhaust and have LG long tube headers on order (with cats). Does anyone know if I will run into smog issues down the road? If so, any suggestions for contingency planning?
Where do you live? In Calif. "most" smog stations will not look under your car or check for CARB certification numbers. If it passes the "sniff" test, you should be fine.
Spoke to the LG folks recently and they again assured me there should be no problem here in Texas. You might give them a call or email and ask them, they're quite helpful

The police will check for CARB #'s out here if the car sounds to loud.

Every smog station ive been to (north country primarily) will pop the hood and look for things. Maybe eastcounty smog spots are more shady
Is LGM putting the cats right after the collectors on the C6 or are they moving them to after the x-pipe? I know it doesn't really help the Cali guys, but it could mean a bit for those going to larger cams and still hoping to pass a sniffer(ie: cat closer to the exhaust manifold is better).
